My mission has taken many forms. In 1982, I started a company called SRA – Shelley Reciniello, Ph. D and Associates  (1982-2002) that initially provided organizations with employee assistance programs (EAPs), but quickly grew to offer other services such as organizational consultation and assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, manager training, and crisis intervention. Twenty years later, in 2002, after my client companies had regained stability from the event known as September 11th, I sold the EAP and crisis intervention division of my company, and formed SRA Consultations (2002-2014).

 

SRA Consultations focused solely on organizational assessment and consultation, executive coaching, and leadership development. Over the years, long-term clients have included Morgan Stanley (1982-2002), First Boston/Credit Suisse (1987-2009), Deutsche Bank (1998-2003), as well as diverse organizations such as Avon, divisions of Exxon, Eastman Kodak, General Electric, in national and global locations In 2014, my book, The Conscious Leader, was published and I closed SRA Consultations to manage speaking and writing engagements.

 

Today I work closely with senior management, boards of directors, human resources, and diversity departments to provide Leadership Journey Programs and executive coaching to senior leaders, solo or with their teams, in fashion and luxury goods, education, technology, law, finance, insurance, pharmaceuticals, entertainment and the arts, throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Along with a select group of highly experienced colleagues, I also offer organizational assessment, consultation, and intervention services to a wide variety of businesses with a specialization in academic institutions.

 

Additionally, I do a great deal of speaking to diverse groups and organizations - keynotes, presentations, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops – across a broad range of topics from a psychological perspective.

Dr. Shelley graduated with honors from Douglass College, Rutgers University in New Jersey and she has a Clinical/Social Psychology Doctorate from the Graduate Faculty of the New School For Social Research, where she was a New School Scholar, and recipient of the New School Alumni Fellowship. Dr. Shelley was one of the first women in the EAP field, and SRA was one of the few woman-owned EAP/Consultancy businesses. Psychoanalytically trained, she is presently an active member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations (ISPSO) and the New York State  (NYSPA) and American Psychological Associations (APA.)
